CASES partners with local businesses and community partners including nonprofits and government agencies to offer our youth program participants real-world work experience in a variety of fields including art, construction, education, food service, journalism, government, law, retail, social services, and technology. For most internship placements, CASES provides the following support:
- Stipends paid to interns, thus providing a subsidized employee for internship hosts (who do not pay the intern)
- Employment-readiness workshops completed by the participant prior to the internship placement
- Ongoing support for both the intern and the internship host
CASES places our youth program participants in internships throughout the year, including as part of our Summer Youth Employment Program annually serving more than 250 young people. Most internships last 6–10 weeks.
