Employment is one of the strongest protective factors in preventing a young person’s repeated involvement in the criminal justice system. Through our Intellectual and Career Development Unit, CASES provides a range of services to help justice-involved and other at-risk young people to build employment-readiness skills and secure jobs. CASES’ onsite employment services include:
- Employment-readiness workshops, including using the nationally-recognized Jobs for America’s Graduates Out-of-School employment curriculum
- Industry-recognized employment-readiness credentials
- Paid internships and summer youth employment
These services are part of CASES’ commitment to preparing our participants with the skills and experience they need to succeed in the community. To support this success, CASES is always working to identify employers interested in offering job opportunities to our youth program participants and graduates who have attained the skills needed to be competitive applicants.
