CASES offers FREE onsite and virtual Mental Health First Aid training to community organizations and individuals in New York City. We train healthcare workers, educators, social services providers, and anyone interested in learning more about how to identify and support someone with mental health needs. Those who complete all of the training components will receive a certificate from the National Council of Mental Wellbeing, valid for three years.

Participants will learn:

• Common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges
• Common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges
• How to interact with a person in crisis
• How to connect a person with help
• Expanded content on trauma, substance use and self-care
