On September 29 and 30, CASES’ Youth Programs held a series of resource fairs for its students and alumni, connecting participants with a bevy of employment, vocational, and civic opportunities.

The fairs were hosted in CASES’ Downtown Brooklyn and Central Harlem offices and featured thirteen different service providers. In all, over sixty current and former CASES participants attended.

“It cannot be understated how important it is for young people in New York City to have access to the job resources they need,” said Sophia Morel, Director of CASES’ Intellectual and Career Development unit. “Finding employment not only gives our participants their greatest chance of success, but it also helps strengthen support networks within their communities.”

Attending participants were presented with a wide range of resources, including information on job openings, specialized trainings ,and paid internship opportunities. Additionally, a representative from NYCID was present to help the young people sign up for NYC IDs and register to vote.

CASES would like to thank NPower, Workforce1 Brooklyn, Employment Works, Shake Shack, the St. Nicks Alliance,Project RISE, Bed-Stuy Restoration Plaza, Dress for Success, Brooklyn Community Services, The Door, Harlem Justice Center, and MEOC for their participation in these events.
