On October 5, 2012, the Center for Urban Community Services will host a panel discussion entitled The Myths of Realities of Risk: Working with Justice-Involved Mentally ill Individuals with Complex Needs from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. This panel discussion will showcase the work of seasoned professionals from a variety of settings who will explore the issues, challenges, and opportunities of working with various sub-populations, including individuals with high risk factors for rearrest, individuals with personality disorders, and those with past violent criminal charges/behaviors. Panelists include Bradley Jacobs, CASES Deputy Director of Adult Behavioral Health Programs, and representatives from Bronx TASC Mental Health Court, Institute for Community Living, Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, the NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, and Howie the Harp Advocacy Center.
