INNOVATION
  Innovation

Throughout its history, CASES has forged innovative solutions to complex problems in the justice system. Our experience in the courts and our status as a direct service provider allow us to recognize issues as they emerge and find answers that work.

CASES' alternative to incarceration programs promote public safety, are designed to meet the needs of the offenders mandated to us, and are frequently evaluated to measure their effectiveness and success. Other criminal justice agencies and practitioners recognize CASES as a leader in innovative solutions to complex problems. Since 1990, CASES has provided outreach, training and technical assistance on a wide range of criminal justice issues.

An example of one of our recent innovations is our Barriers to Education project, which operates a transition center to help youth reenter community schools upon exit from secure detention. CASES also pioneered the use of crime mapping techniques to assist justice
agencies and others to enhance planning and operations, and to advocate for resources.
